'Traffic’ Ramaswamy's aides forcibly evict him from AIADMK office site

Coimbatore: Social activist ‘Traffic’ Ramaswamy on Saturday morning created a flutter in the city by protesting in front of the AIADMK office.

Even after his aides requested him to withdraw his protest, he refused to leave the AIADMK premises. Hence, his assistant Subash along with a few other aides lifted him from the spot and boarded him onto a car.

Earlier, holding judgement copies in his hand, the 85-year-old activist stood right in front of the AIADMK office near Anna Silai on Hosur Road demanding the removal of all flex banners erected in the city which flouted the High Court order.

A couple of days ago, 40 illegal flex banners erected within corporation limits were removed in the city. However, the activist has alleged that the officials have not removed the flex banners of the AIADMK.

Condemning this discrepancy, Traffic Ramasamy was protesting in front of the AIADMK office since 9.30 am this morning. He also warned that if the flex banners are not removed completely from the city, he would file a defamation case on officials for not abiding by the High Court's orders.

Public in large numbers stopped by to enquire why the activist had been standing in front of the ruling party's district office since morning.

While being forcibly evicted from the spot, Traffic Ramaswamy shouted, "They are killing me." After his eviction, ministers returned and took part in the party meeting at the AIADMK office.
