TN Govt. allocates 490 crore for Adi Dravidar and tribal entrepreneurs

A meeting was convened at the Additional District Collectorate office in Nilgiris by the District Collector Innocent Divya with the Police Commissioner Shanmugapriya and other government officials. Speaking at the meeting, L Murugan said, "Entrepreneurs meeting will be conducted in Coimbatore and Tirupur as part of this program. Following this, a similar meeting will be convened at Coonoor tomorrow, and at Gudalur on February 8, in Nilgiris. 



The Khadi and Village Industries Commission is to conduct a state-level Entrepreneurs Conference in Ooty this month. It is also reported that The Tamil Nadu Government has allocated Rs.100 crore to provide basic facilities for the Adi Dravidar and tribal residents. 

Many have urged us to open an Information Technology firm at the premises of the closed Hindustan Photo Films in Ooty which will be brought to the attention of the Central Government. Nilgiris and Kanyakumari are two districts in Tamil Nadu which do not discriminate against Adi Dravidars and tribals," noted L Murugan.
