Tirupur: TPTK General Secretary Ramakrishnan has said that black flag will be shown to Prime Minister Modi during his visit to Tirupur.
Prime Minister Modi is all set to address the BJP campaign to be held at Perumanallur in Tirupur on February 10. Meanwhile, a meeting of the Periyar fronts was convened at Mangalam Road in Tirupur, to show the black flag to Prime Minister Modi during his campaign at Mangalam Road in Tirupur.

Meanwhile, opposite to the place where the meeting was convened, BJP members gathered and raised slogans. In return, members of the Dravidar Kazhagam also raised slogans. Following this, the police were deployed at the spot and pacified the BJP members after which they left the spot.

Meanwhile, TPTK General Secretary Ramakrishnan has said that he is ready to accept the challenge of H Raja. Addressing the media, he said, "H Raja has challenged us to show the black flag if possible. We accept his challenge and the black flag will be shown as planned on February 10 and we will prove that Tirupur is the land of Periyar. With industries facing downfall, Tirupur people will not wish Modi on his arrival.

Though we had said earlier that we will conduct our meeting, -the police have allowed BJP members to protest here which will instigate violence, " he noted.
