Coimbatore: "It is every parent's nightmare," grieved the parents of a four-year old who was sexually assaulted by her school bus driver and helper on Tuesday, at Karamadai.
In a gruesomely planned plot, a school bus driver and the helper of a private school, Vidyaa Vikas, near Karamadai in Mettupalayam abused a LKG child by injecting her with sedatives in the school bus.
Govindarajan and Marimuthu, the two offenders plotted the abuse keeping in mind she was always dropped last from the No:3 bus from the school to her home at Umayampalyam in Karamadai. The vile duo allegedly assaulted her sexually in the bus and dropped her at home.
When the child complained of pain, the parents questioned the child only to have their worst fears confounded. Shattered by the news, the parents rushed to the school to escalate the issue to the school management.
To the shock of the parents, the school management allegedly tried to pacify the parents and promised to deal with the issue. Enraged by the school's callous reply, the parents along with Maadhar Sangam lodged a formal complaint at the Karamadai police station. The offenders were then handed over to the police by the school management. The police have booked the duo under the POCSO Act for sexually abusing a child.
"We don't know whom to believe and whom not to. How will we erase this memory from our child's mind," sobbed the poor parents whose tears stirred the hearts of the public. The police are suspecting that the duo could have assaulted children in the past too.
