Coimbatore : Police investigation on Saranya who was found dead at Sulur in Coimbatore under suspicious circumstances reveal that she might have been murdered.
According to the police, Saranya (30) wife of Mohan from Pallapalayam, Sulur, was found dead with her two-wheeler near a fence in Kannampalayam, in April 2018. The Sulur police registered a case and commenced investigation.
Mohan filed a petition to the Chief Minister stating that his wife could have been murdered and asked for a probe into the incident. Following this, the Sulur police recommenced investigation and arrested Kaliraj (34) from Virudhunagar.
Police stated that on investigation it was found that the couple Mohan and Saranya were introduced to Kaliraj when they were residing at Sivakasi. Later, even after they shifted to Sulur, Kaliraj continued to disturb Saranya. It is suspected that Kaliraj might have murdered Saranya by driving a van that collided against her two-wheeler.
