Coimbatore : A 21-year old college student Muralidaran was stabbed to death by unidentified men at Kempatti Colony in Ukkadam.
According to reports, Muralidaran, son of Kannan was studying in his final year B.Sc IT at Hindusthan College of Arts and Science here. While walking on the road last night, he was waylaid by a gang of unidentified men who stoned him first. Even as Muralidaran was trying to escape, the gang stabbed him multiples times with a knife. Muralidaran sustained grievous injuries all over his body and reportedly died on the spot.
The police have nabbed a person named Balaji and commenced investigation. Police say that Balaji revealed that in a gang fight four days ago, Muralidaran pacified the rivalry between the two gangs and it could be in that he was murdered in connection to this rivalry. The Big Bazaar Street police have commenced a detailed investigation into the murder.
