He also added that if necessary the ER staff would assist in transferring them to a hospital of their choice.
The inauguration of First Aid Assistance Centre at Coimbatore Railway Junction was presided by Dr.K.Madeswaran, Chairman, Royal Care Super Speciality Hospital and P.Satheesh Saravanan, Station Director, Coimbatore Railway Junction.
Equipped with facilities to handle emergencies, the Centre will have ECG monitors, SPO2 monitors, life saving drugs and IV fluids and other medical kits.
P. Satheesh Saravanan, Station Director, stressed the importance of the First Aid Medical Centre and how timely medical assistance can help in saving the lives of people during emergencies.
Chittibabu, Chief Commercial Inspector, Lawrence, Dy.Station Manager Commercial, Dr.P.Krishnanada, Chief Operating Officer, Royal Care Hospital and other dignitaries from the hospital and railways were present.
