The Nilgiris: A documentary about the celebrated Nilgiri Heritage Mountain Train in BBC UK has invited new tourists rushing to the 'Queen of hills' from England.
Fascinated by the documentary which was aired recently in the UK, a group of travellers charted a course to the Nilgiris to take a ride in the toy train. The 31-member group from the UK stayed for two days and visited various tourist spots in Ooty and Coonoor. They enjoyed the Mountain Train ride from Ooty to Mettupalayam, today.
They are just one among the many tourist groups who have thronged the Nilgiris following the recent airing of the documentary and there’s definitely a renewed interest among world travellers for the Mountain Train ride.
