Man killed by elephant in Anaikatti

Coimbatore : In a tragic incident last night, a 40-year-old man who was reportedly under the the influence of alcohol and marijuana was trampled by a wild elephant near Panappalli in Anaikatti.



Coimbatore : In a tragic incident last night, a 40-year-old man who was reportedly under the the influence of alcohol and marijuana was trampled by a wild elephant near Panappalli in Anaikatti. The man identified was P Murugan from Kandivazhi tribal settlement and was on his way to his wife’s family home in Panappalli when he encountered the elephant. His mortal remains were retrieved from Nagamara Odai (stream) in Anaikatti and was sent to the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital for autopsy.
