Coimbatore : Within a few days after the translocation of a problem male elephant from the Thadagam valley, two men were injured by straying wild elephants near Poochiyur here last night.
The victims identified as Senthil Kumar (41) and Manoj Karthick (31), were found to be roaming near Hightech city campus after late evening hours when the elephants attacked them.
They sustained severe injuries on the body and were immediately shifted to Coimbatore Medical College and Hospital (CMCH) for treatment.
They were being treated in the Red Zone ward due to the severity of their injuries.
