Activists of 'Tamilpuligal' arrested for staging protest

The activists of the 'Tamil Puligal' party staged a sudden protest in front of the Collector office (South) to raise their concern over the new amendements made to the education act by the Central Government.

The new education policy draft has affected the scholarships availed by the students from deprived communities and also the proposed education policy would bring back the old caste-based education system, they alleged. 

The protest was led by A. Marx from 'Tamil Puligal' party. The police arrested the the protesters and cleared off the situation.
