The demands of the JACTO-GEO members are listed below:
1) Scrapping of the Contributory Pension Scheme and covering all those who joined the service after April 1, 2003 under the Old Pension Scheme.
2) Sanctioning of pay on par with the Central Government Employees for Secondary Teachers and ‘Sanctioning CAS for College Teachers.'
3) Rectification of pay anomalies for Government Employees and Teachers.
4) Doing away with the special time scale and contract pay scales.
5) Regularizing the jobs of part-time staff and teachers.
6) Provision of the 21-month pending salary difference as per 7th pay.
7) Dropping the move to close down 5,000 government schools.
8) Stop merging 3500 primary schools with secondary schools and stop closure of 3500 mid-day meal centres for students.
