JACTO-GEO members are on an indefinite strike for the past three days, across the State, demanding that the Government fulfill their nine demands which include scrapping of the complementary pension scheme and payment of the 21-month arrears under the Seventh Pay Commission.
As part of their protest, more than 2000 members of JACTO-GEO carried a rally from Shanthi Theatre till the District Collectorate. Later, they staged a protest in front of the District Collectorate due to which vehicular movement came to a standstill. Police were also deployed at the spot to ensure security.
