Coimbatore : The District farmers have jointly petitioned to the District Collector, T.N. Hariharan and Superintendent of Police, Pandiarajan to arrest Vijayakumar, a fraudster for swindling their agricultural produce.

The aggrieved farmers alleged that Vijayakumar has been involved in such frauds over five years and despite a Tuticorin Court order directing to arrest him under Section 138 of negotiable instruments act of 1881, no action has been initiated against him.
They further briefed that Vijakumar had approached farmers, Sadasivam from Sathyamangalam and Pradeep Kumar from Sulur and procured several tonnes of coconut, rice and corn and promised them to fetch fair prices. But he allegedly eloped and cheated them to a tune of Rs. 5 lakhs and RS. 1.75 crore.
"Not just them, Vijayakumar has cheated numerous farmers from all parts of Tamil Nadu. Hence, the District Police should arrest him without further delay", they urged.
