Coimbatore: The city police have arrested a motorcycle burglar Maniyalagan (30) of Surampatti, Erode and recovered 15 motorcycles from him. Following repeated vehicle burglaries reported in various parts of Coimbatore, a special police team was formed to nab the burglars under the orders of the Deputy Commissioner P Perumal.

Maniyalagan has been involved in various vehicle burglary cases. The vehicles recovered were reportedly burgled at Chitra, Kalapatti, Kanuvai in Coimbatore, as well as in Tanjore and Palani districts.
"The recovered vehicles account to Rs 4.24 lakhs," said the police who have registered a case against Maniyalagan, and are also on the lookout for others involved in these burglaries.
