The Nilgiris: A wild bear strayed into a Shiva temple near Coonoor yesterday. Forest officials have been alerted.

A wild bear entered strayed to a Shiva temple near Sogathrai village here yesterday night, after the temple for closed for the day. The bear roamed inside the temple for over an hour and had the fruits and other prasadams which were offered to the deity here. 



Today evening, when the temple priest reached the temple to perform poojas, he found the pooja materials scattered on the floor and checked the CCTV visuals of last night. The priest noticed a bear roaming inside the temple and he immediately alerted forest officials about this.
