The Nilgiris: The recent frost in Nilgiris is affecting all kinds of vegetation here and farmers are hugely affected due to this.

Coffee farmers in Nilgiris are worried as the recent frost is scorching coffee beans even before harvest. Tribal communities in Gudalur, Pandhalur and Kothagiri regions have cultivated coffee and farmers were delighted as the yield was better this year. 

However, the recent frost has affected their hopes and the produce got scorched. Farmers are worried whether they would be able to sell their produce for May. The livelihood of tribal farmers will get affected due to this.
