Nilgiris : Herd of wild gaurs is camping at different tea estates in Nilgiris and posing threat to public and tea workers here. The public are demanding Forest officials to act immediately.
Nilgiris : Herd of wild gaurs is camping at different tea estates in Nilgiris and posing threat to public and tea workers here. The public are demanding Forest officials to act immediately.
The herd is camping at tea estates near Coonoor, Kothagiri main roads and tea workers aren’t able to report to work. Tea workers often take the risky forest route to protect themselves from these animals.
Despite this, many workers are getting attacked by these gaurs. The gaurs also damage the tea estate and agricultural produce in nearby villages like Manjoor, Kundha, Dhudharmattam and other nearby villages.
The public are demanding Forest officials to act immediately and chase away these animals into the forest.
