The Madras High Court has granted permission to release actor Ajith Kumarstarrer ‘Viswasam’ film in Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode districts. The Court earlier stayed the film’s release in these districts hearing a plea from a financier against the film’s producers.

Financier Umapathi petitioned at the high court demanding a stay for the film’s release as the film’s producers haven’t repaid the loans. Hearing the case, the court stayed the release of the film in Coimbatore, Tirupur and Erode districts. Later, the production house informed the court that they would clear the dues immediately and requested the court to vacate the stay for film’s release.
The production house, in their petition, stated that they would pay Rs 35 lakhs out of the Rs 78 lakhs loan today itself and the remaining would be paid within the next four weeks. Considering the plea, the court removed the stay in these districts and the film would be released as planned earlier.
