Nilgiris : Nilgiris district collector J Innocent Divya inspected the Muthiri Estate children’s home near Coonoor today and demanded action against authorities there for making children sleep on the bare floor.
The Collector inspected the children’s home run by the estate and found that children from Jharkhand, Odisha, Bihar and other states were not provided any basic amenities. She observed that the children were made to sleep on the bare floor and she demanded immediate action against the home authorities. The collector also demanded an action taken report at the earliest.
