Nilgiris : About 230 varieties of two lakh saplings are being planted ahead of the 123rd flower festival to be held in May at the picturesque Botanical Garden in Ooty. The District Collector, J.Innocent Divya inaugurated the planting of saplings, today.

Special varieties like Saiklemon, Sinareriya, Jeroniyam, Kilakseniya which have been brought from Japan, USA, Germany and Netherlands will also be seen during the flower festival this year.
Arrangements are being carried out to decorate the botanical garden with 15,000 flowers and enthrall the visitors.
