Police search teams on the lookout for miscreants who looted jewellery and escaped in jeweller's car near Madukarai

Coimbatore: The police are on the lookout for miscreants who waylaid the car of a jeweler from Kerala and hijacked it from the city limits. The miscreants allegedly hijacked the car from the Tiruchur jeweler as he entered the city and parked it near Tendril Nagar, near Madukarai. They fled the scene after looting the jewellery.

The miscreants allegedly hijacked the car from the Tiruchur jeweler as he entered the city and parked it near Tendril Nagar, near Madukarai. They fled the scene after looting the jewellery.



Four special teams were formed to nab the culprits, with four more led by ASP Mutharasu to reinforce the search teams. It is reported that the culprits may have escaped to nearby districts like Tirupur, Salem or Nilgiris.
