Coimbatore : Promod Lakshman Mahajan, an activist and a Pune-based farmer who has embarked on a nationwide odyssey on October 20 to create awareness on organ donation reached Coimbatore, today to spread his life-saving message.
Coimbatore : Promod Lakshman Mahajan, an activist and a Pune-based farmer who has embarked on a nationwide odyssey on October 20 to create awareness on organ donation reached Coimbatore, today to spread his life-saving message.

For the past 80 days, the 67-year old has been travelling to several places and instilling awareness among the public on the need for organ donation.
Today, Mahajan visited Coimbatore Medical college hospital and issued handbills to the patients stressing the importance of cadaver donation.
CMCH, Dean, Doctors and staff accorded a warm reception and accompanied him to the wards.
Later speaking to the media, Mahajan said “I have started my 10,000 km journey to meet the people of the nation and create awareness on organ donation. The recipient wait list is long in the nation, as there is still lack of awareness on organ donation. I will be completing my odyssey on January 28".
"As a life saving gesture, I have donated one of my kidneys to an ex-serviceman", he noted.
