My government will not bow to pressure tactics by the BJP at the Centre: Pinarayi Vijayan

The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan has categorically stated that his government will not bow before the Modi-led BJP government at the Centre, and that the rule of law will prevail in Kerala.

The Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan has categorically stated that his government will not bow before the Modi-led BJP government at the Centre, and that the rule of law will prevail in Kerala.

The Chief Minister of Kerala was reacting to a statement made by the BJP MP, Nishant Dube, on the floor of the Parliament asking for imposition of President’s rule in Kerala.

In his speech, Dube had alleged that BJP workers were being targeted in Kerala by the LDF Government with its “deadly politics” in the Southern state of Kerala. Pinarayi Vijayann had earlier alleged that over 90 percent of protestors who opposed the entry of young women into Sabarimala belonged to the Sangh Parivar, and also blamed the RSS and BJP for the worsening law and order situation in the state.

“The RSS and BJP are trying their best to create trouble over the Sabarimala issue which has led to deterioration of the state's law and order situation,” said Pinarayi Vijayann. He added, "The rule of law will prevail in Kerala and those who want to pray at the Sabarimala temple will be given protection. This is a pointer to the fact that the law and order situation is satisfactory in the state.” "We are not afraid of threats of imposing President Rule in Kerala, for we will not bow to the threatening tactics of the BJP-led government in the Centre,” reiterated Pinarayi Vijayann.
