Coimbatore: Nurses under the Tamil Nadu MRB Nurses Empowerment Association protested in front of district collectorate here on various demands. Over 60 nurses took part in the protests.
The nurses raised slogans demanding equal pay for equal jobs, cancellation on unnecessary transfers and various others as part of the protests. State vice-president Manimekalai and various other senior functionaries of the association took part in the protests.
The protesters demanded the State government to act immediately on their demands and added that they would be sending their demands to principal secretary, health and family welfare through district collector.
