Medical College student complains to national anti-ragging squad


Coimbatore Medical College has 750 students enrolled in their MBBS course. Close to 150 students have newly enrolled in the first year MBBS. 

A 2nd year MBBS student had lodged a complaint with the National Anti-ragging Squad reporting on his personal ragging experience. He has reported that his seniors had asked him to bent down on his knees, as an act of ragging.

The national anti-ragging squad have sent a notice to the Dean, Coimbatore medical college seeking explanation on the issue. The Peelamedu Police Station have registered a case to probe on the issue.
