Coimbatore : A series of shops near the Ondipudur Bridge in Trichy Road was burgled yesterday night. Singanallur police are investigating.
According to police, burglars broke into over eight shops near the Ondipudur Bridge yesterday night and burgled Rs.4000 from a grocery shop here. The burglars also stole Rs. 5000 from a spare parts shop and Rs. 2000 from a small store here. The miscreants also attempted to burgle a TASMAC outlet in the area. The Crime Branch at Singanallur police station have registered a case and investigating.
The public demanded that police should increase the patrolling in the area. Several crimes have been reported from the area over the past few months.
