Coimbatore: Following Chief Minister Edappadi K Palanisami’s orders, the Coimbatore Corporation is taking several measures to transform Coimbatore into plastic free City.
Beginning the New Year with awareness initiatives, Corporation Commissioner Dr. K. Vijayakarthikeyan and other senior Corporation officials distributed cloth bags to public near R.S Puram today.
The Commissioner interacted with the public and urged them to switch over to eco-friendly bags made of cloth.
Cloth bags were also distributed to bus passengers, motorists and public.
