The Tamil Nadu VAOs Association have been protesting for the past 20 days, demanding that their 21 various demands including implementation of the old pension scheme and basic infrastructure be fulfilled. As part of their protest, VAOs laid siege to the District Collectorate today, raising slogans of their demands.
The Chief of the Tamil Nadu VAOs Association explained, "We are spending our own funds for internet facility for the past five years.
No basic facilities were provided to us due to which we face many difficulties, more so for the women. The State Government should take necessary action to fulfill our demands."
