Anti-plastic motorcycle awareness rally held in Nilgiris

The Nilgiris : A motorcycle rally to create awareness on the adverse effects of single use plastics was held in The Nilgiris.

The Nilgiris : A motorcycle rally to create awareness on the adverse effects of single use plastics was held in The Nilgiris. 

Ooty Municipal Engineer, C. Ravi flagged-off the rally which aimed to instill awareness among the public on the hazards of plastic to humans and to the environment. 



The rally went through Botanical garden, Commercial road, Lower Bazaar and ended at the boat house. The motorcycle rally was organised by a private star hotel in Ooty in which more than 50 persons held placards with quotes on ill-effects of plastic usage. 



As plastic usage was already banned in the district, many such rallies and campaigns were organised to create awareness among the tourists.
