Coimbatore : An anti-plastic awareness meeting was organised by Coimbatore Corporation at Corporation Kalaiyarangam today and delegates complained that were served refreshments in unclean glasses and plates.
Coimbatore : An anti-plastic awareness meeting was organised by Coimbatore Corporation at Corporation Kalaiyarangam today and delegates complained that were served refreshments in unclean glasses and plates.
Minister for Local Administration S.P Velumani, Environment Minister K.C Karuppannan and Deputy Speaker Pollachi Jayaraman were also present for the event.
However, delegates who attended the event were unhappy with the way refreshments were served. The refreshments were served by a private hotel who did not bother to clean the used plates hygienically. Instead of cleaning g plates using water, they just wiped off used plates with dirty cloths and paper and served back food to others.
While, the plates were just wiped with used clothes, the cups were washed in dirty used water. Few delegates were upset about this and they even quarreled with the hotel staff.
The delegates demanded Corporation authorities to take action against the Hotel.
