The dam is receiving an inflow of 256 cubic feet per second, while 250 cubic feet per second is being released. However, officials noted that the inflow is gradually decreasing as rainfall intensity has reduced in recent days. Despite this, the current water level remains satisfactory for meeting irrigation requirements in the command area.
The Parambikkulam dam, situated near Pollachi, has a storage capacity of 72 feet. Presently, the dam's water level has reached 21.84 feet. The dam is recording a significant inflow of 1,120 cubic feet per second, which is the highest among the three dams. From the dam, 40 cubic feet per second is being released for downstream requirements. The continuous rise in water level due to the sustained southwest monsoon has brought immense joy to farmers who depend on this reservoir for agricultural activities.
