Power Cut in 12 Areas Today Due to Maintenance at Peedampalli Substation

Monthly maintenance work at Peedampalli substation in Coimbatore will be conducted today from 9 AM to 4 PM, causing power disruption in 12 areas including Kalangal, Peedampalli, Pattanam, Pappampatti, Akkanayakanpalayam, Pattanambudhur, and surrounding localities across the district.


Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced that monthly maintenance work at the Peedampalli substation in Coimbatore district will be conducted today (June 25) from 9 AM to 4 PM. This will affect power supply to several areas, according to the official notification.




Due to these maintenance activities, power supply will be suspended in Peedampalli, Pattanam, Pappampatti, Akkanayakanpalayam, Pattanambudhur, Pappampatti Division, Kannampalaiyam, Nadupalaiyam area, Chinna Kuyili, Nayakkanpalayam, and Pallapalaiyam. Residents in these localities are advised to plan their day accordingly and make necessary arrangements during the power outage.




Monthly electrical maintenance work is a crucial operation undertaken by the Electricity Board to maintain the quality of electrical equipment and prevent future disruptions in power distribution. These preventive measures ensure the reliability and safety of the power infrastructure serving thousands of households and commercial establishments in the affected areas.




The maintenance work is expected to be completed without delay, and power supply will be restored by 4 PM in all affected areas. The Electricity Board has instructed residents in these areas to prepare in advance for the scheduled power cut and make necessary arrangements for the day. Essential services and institutions are advised to ensure backup power arrangements to minimize inconvenience.




Once the scheduled maintenance work is completed as planned, power distribution will resume in all areas. The Electricity Board expressed regret for any inconvenience caused to consumers and thanked them for their cooperation during this essential maintenance period.
