Institute of Indian Foundrymen, Coimbatore Chapter Welcomes New State Government’s Focus on Industrial Ecosystem

IIF Coimbatore Chapter Chairman Velusamy conveyed the organisation’s heartfelt congratulations to the new government and welcomed its commitment towards industrial growth, support for MSMEs, and employment generation.

Coimbatore: The Institute of Indian Foundrymen (IIF) has extended its appreciation to the newly formed Tamil Nadu Government led by C. Joseph Vijay for its emphasis on industrial growth, MSME development, employment generation, and reform-driven governance.

In a statement issued by the IIF Coimbatore Chapter, Chairman Velusamy conveyed the organisation’s heartfelt congratulations to the new government and expressed confidence in its vision for strengthening Tamil Nadu’s industrial ecosystem through progressive policy interventions and manufacturing-focused reforms.

The institute stated that the government’s commitment towards industrial expansion, support for micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs), and job creation would further reinforce Tamil Nadu’s position as one of India’s leading manufacturing hubs.

Highlighting the importance of the foundry sector, the organisation noted that Coimbatore’s foundries continue to play a crucial role in supporting key industries including automotive, consumer durables, power and energy, oil and gas, construction machinery, pumps, motors, agricultural machinery, machine tools, and allied engineering sectors.

According to the institute, nearly 35 percent of Tamil Nadu’s industrial GDP is directly or indirectly linked to the foundry sector, underlining its significance in the state’s manufacturing economy.

The Coimbatore Chapter of the Institute of Indian Foundrymen further stated that it looks forward to working closely with the government in areas such as MSME support, skill development, strengthening metal casting capabilities, and advancing allied manufacturing sectors across the state.

Reaffirming its commitment towards inclusive and sustainable industrial development, the organisation said it remains dedicated to contributing to the growth of both industries and communities in Tamil Nadu.
