Coimbatore: Direct flight service from Coimbatore International Airport to Kuwait is set to commence soon, with an official announcement expected to be released shortly, according to airport sources.

Currently, Coimbatore International Airport operates direct flight services to three international destinations - Sharjah, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. However, flights to Abu Dhabi have been temporarily suspended due to the Iran-Israel conflict.

Flight services to Singapore and Sharjah from Coimbatore airport continue to operate as usual.

In this context, measures are being undertaken to launch direct flight service from Coimbatore to Kuwait by Jazeera Airlines, scheduled to begin by the end of April.

Speaking about this development, Coimbatore airport officials stated that Jazeera Airlines has planned to start flight service from Coimbatore to Kuwait. Once these arrangements are finalized, an official announcement will be made regarding the commencement of flight service between Coimbatore and Kuwait.

This flight service is not permanent and has been scheduled to operate for only 15 days. However, all details will be officially released later, airport sources confirmed.

The new route is expected to provide significant convenience to passengers from Coimbatore and surrounding districts traveling to Kuwait for business and employment purposes. This will be the fourth international destination from Coimbatore International Airport, further enhancing its connectivity to the Middle East region.
