Commissioner Inspects Rainwater Drainage Work on Avinashi Road

Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran inspected rainwater drainage work on Avinashi Road. He instructed officials about the process of drilling small holes in roadside drains to improve water flow.


Coimbatore: Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran conducted an on-site inspection of rainwater drainage work in the Avinashi Road area, which falls under the central zone, today (17.10.2024).

The ongoing work involves drilling small holes on the sides of drains on both sides of the road to facilitate quick drainage of rainwater that accumulates during the rainy season. The Commissioner personally observed and reviewed this process during his inspection.



During the inspection, Commissioner Prabhakaran instructed the officials to expedite the drilling work. He was accompanied by Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumaran, Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran, Assistant Engineer Muthukumar, Sanitary Inspector Dhanapalan, and other Corporation officials.
