Southern Railway has extended the operation of the Podanur–Chennai Central weekend special trains till August 30, with the services continuing on Friday to Sunday to meet the growing passenger demand.

Train No. 06028 will depart from Podanur Junction at 7.40 a.m. and reach Chennai Central at 4.45 p.m. on the same day. En route, the trains will halt at Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Morappur, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Arakkonam and Perambur, providing improved connectivity for passengers travelling along the route.
