CSW Foundation and District Tobacco Control Cell Organize Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 in Coimbatore

CSW Foundation and District Tobacco Control Cell conducted Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 at Pullulkadu Housing Unit, Ukkadam, Coimbatore on September 28, 2024. The event featured a Kabbadai match and youth taking an anti-tobacco oath.


Coimbatore: The CSW Foundation, in collaboration with the District Tobacco Control Cell, successfully organized the Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 on September 28, 2024, at Pullulkadu Housing Unit in Ukkadam, Coimbatore.



The campaign aimed to engage local youth and raise awareness about the dangers of tobacco use.



As part of the initiative, a lively Kabbadai match was organized, bringing together residents and encouraging community participation. The event also saw youth and children taking an oath against tobacco, committing themselves to a healthier lifestyle.



Key figures attending the event included Harish, Trustee Secretary of CSW Foundation; Fazil, Joint Secretary; Murali Krishnan, Social Worker from the District Tobacco Control Cell; and Psychologists Thoufiq.



Representatives Jayshree and Lekha were also present. Adding to the campaign's success were 50 student participants from PSG College of Arts and Science and Kumaraguru College of Arts and Science.



The Tobacco Free Youth Campaign 2.0 underscores the commitment of CSW Foundation and the District Tobacco Control Cell to empower youth and create a tobacco-free future.



By organizing such events, these organizations aim to educate young people about the harmful effects of tobacco and encourage them to make healthier choices.
