Retired Deputy Registrar Distributes Essential Items Worth Rs 9 Lakh to 450 Needy People in Udumalpet

In Udumalpet, a retired cooperative department deputy registrar honored his late wife's memory by distributing essential items worth Rs 9 lakh to 450 underprivileged individuals, marking the 10th year of this charitable tradition.



Tirupur: In a heartwarming gesture of remembrance and charity, a retired deputy registrar of the cooperative department in Udumalpet, Tirupur district, distributed essential items worth Rs 9 lakh to over 450 underprivileged individuals. This act of kindness was carried out in memory of his late wife, Meenamma, marking the 10th anniversary of her passing.



Krishnan, the retired official from Kanakkampalaiyam panchayat area in Udumalpet, provided a package of 22 items to each beneficiary. The package included rice, groceries, blankets, and sarees, demonstrating a comprehensive approach to addressing the needs of the recipients.

The distribution event was attended by several notable personalities, including Nisar Ahmed, former state president of the Tamil Nadu Government Employees Association; Dasan, president of the Udumalpet branch of the All Department Retired Employees Association; Durairaj, secretary of the Udumalpet Urban Cooperative Store; and Sudha Subramaniam, district executive of the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers Association.



Other attendees included Latha, clerk of the Urban Cooperative Store; Rajendran, president of the Kanakkampalaiyam Residents Association; Natarajan, a retired tahsildar; and several retired cooperative society administrators.

This annual charitable event, now in its tenth year, has become a poignant tribute to Krishnan's late wife and a significant source of support for the local community. The generous distribution of essential items, valued at Rs 9 lakh, has touched the lives of 450 individuals, providing them with much-needed assistance.
