Zoho Corp HR Leader Charles Godwin Inspires 1000 Freshers at Park Group of Institutions' SPARK 2024

Charles Godwin, HR Leader at Zoho Corp, addressed 1000 first-year engineering and architecture students at Park Group of Institutions' SPARK 2024 fresher's day event in Coimbatore, emphasizing contextual, relevant, and experience-based learning for career success.


Coimbatore: The Park Group of Institutions welcomed its first-year engineering and architecture students with a grand fresher's day function, SPARK 2024, held on September 19, 2024, at their Karumathampatti campus auditorium. The event saw participation from 1000 freshers along with their parents, marking a significant beginning to their academic journey.



The ceremony brought together students from Park College of Engineering and Technology, Tamilnadu College of Engineering, Park College of Technology, Tamilnadu School of Architecture, and Park Institute of Architecture. Distinguished guests and faculty members graced the occasion, including Dr. Lakshmanan, Principal of Park College of Engineering and Technology, and Prof. D Suresh Kumar, Director of Tamilnadu School of Architecture, among others.

Dr. Anusha Ravi, CEO of Park Institutions, addressed the gathering, emphasizing the institution's commitment to providing resources for skill development. She encouraged students to make the most of the available infrastructure and strive for leadership roles in their future careers.

Dr. P.V. Ravi, Chairman of Park Group of Institutions, presided over the function. In his address, he inspired students to think innovatively, citing the example of Thomas Alva Edison's confidence in his inventions' future utility to society.

The event was honored by the presence of Wing Commander R Shruti and Wing Commander R Sadish from 5 BRD, Indian Air Force. Notably, Wing Commander R Sadish is an alumnus of Park College of Engineering and Technology, having graduated in Aeronautical Engineering in 2002.

Charles Godwin, HR Leader at Zoho Corp, delivered the keynote address as the Chief Guest. Drawing from his personal experiences, he shared three key tips for success: avoid comparing oneself with others, maintain consistency, and work with passion. Godwin emphasized the importance of contextual, relevant, and experience-based learning for career growth.

Following the inaugural addresses, students were provided with laptops to support their academic curriculum, demonstrating the institution's commitment to technological empowerment.

The event concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. K Kumaresan, Principal of Park College of Technology, followed by the National Anthem, marking a promising start to the academic year for the new batch of students at Park Group of Institutions.
