Coimbatore: The Electricity Board has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore on September 20 due to monthly maintenance work at four substations. The affected substations are Papanaickenpalayam, Periyanaickenpalayam, Mathampatty, and Devarayapuram. The power cut will be in effect from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Areas served by the Papanaickenpalayam substation that will experience power cuts include Ganesh Nagar, Kamadhenu Nagar, Nava India Road, Ganapathy Bus Stand, Siddhapudur, Pazhaiyur, PN Palayam, Burani Colony, Avarampalayam, GKNM Hospital, Alamu Nagar, and Ramakrishna Hospital.

The Periyanaickenpalayam substation outage will affect Periyanaickenpalayam, Naickenpalayam, Kovanur, Kudalur, Goundampalayam, Jothipuram, Press Colony, Veerapandi Idigarai, Sengalipalayam, Puchiyur, Samanaickenpalayam, Athipalayam, Govindanaickenpalayam, Maniyakarampalayam, Palamalai, and Narasimmanaickenpalayam.

Areas served by the Mathampatty substation that will face power cuts include Mathampatty, Alanthurai, Kuppanur, Karadimadai, Poondi, Semmadu, Theetipalayam, Perur, Goundanur, Perur Chettipalayam, Kalampalayam, Thondamuthur, Kembanur, Muthipalayam, Kalikanayakanpalayam, Pudhupalayam, Deenampalayam, Uliyampalayam, Thaliyur, Kulathupalaiyam, and West Chithiraichavadi.

The Devarayapuram substation outage will affect Devarayapuram, Poluvampatti, Viraliyur, Narasipuram, Kaliyannamputhur, Puthur, Thennamanallur, Kondayampalayam, and Thendral Nagar.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the scheduled power outage.
