Power Outage Announced for Kurichi and Seeranaickenpalayam Substations in Coimbatore Tomorrow

Electricity Board announces power cut in various areas of Coimbatore on September 19 due to monthly maintenance work at Kurichi and Seeranaickenpalayam substations from 9 AM to 4 PM and 5 PM respectively.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage in several areas of Coimbatore on September 19, 2023, due to monthly maintenance work at two substations.

The Kurichi substation will undergo maintenance from 9 AM to 4 PM. Areas affected include SIDCO, Podanur, Kurichi, Housing Unit, Sundarapuram, Eachanari, LIC Colony, and parts of Malumichampatti.

Simultaneously, the Seeranaickenpalayam substation will have maintenance work from 9 AM to 5 PM. The power cut will impact Seeranaickenpalayam, Papanaickenpalayam, Vadavalli, Vedapatti, Veerakeralam, Telungupalayam, Velandipalayam, Sai Baba Colony, parts of Sundappalayam, Selvapuram, Anna Nagar, Housing Unit, Gandhi Nagar, Lakshmi Nagar, and parts of Idayarpalayam-Vadavalli Road.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the temporary power disruption. The TNEB assures that power supply will be restored once the maintenance work is completed.
