108 Ganesha Idols Immersed in Valparai for Vinayaka Chaturthi

Hindu Munnani organized the 33rd annual Vinayaka Chaturthi celebration in Valparai, Coimbatore district. 108 Ganesha idols were consecrated and immersed in Nadumalai river after a grand procession through the town.



Coimbatore: The Hindu Munnani organization in Valparai taluk of Coimbatore district celebrated its 33rd annual Vinayaka Chaturthi festival with great fervor. As part of the celebrations, 108 Ganesha idols were consecrated and taken out in a procession before being immersed in the Nadumalai river.

The festival began with the installation of 108 Ganesha idols at the Subramaniya Swamy Temple in Valparai.



The idols were then taken out in a grand procession on vehicles, starting from the temple premises.



The procession wound its way through the town, passing by the Gandhi statue, Vazhaithotam area, and the new bus stand before returning to the Subramaniya Swamy Temple complex.



The immersion ceremony took place at the Nadumalai river, marking the culmination of the festivities.



The event was led by Sekar, the Deputy Chairman of the Hindu Munnani's southern district. Several prominent figures participated in the celebration, including Rajesh, the State Organizer, C.M. Anna, the State Secretary of a department, and T. Balachandran, the Coimbatore Division Secretary. Various city union administrators were also present at the event.

This annual celebration in Valparai and its estate areas has become a significant cultural event, bringing together the local community to observe the Vinayaka Chaturthi festival with devotion and enthusiasm.
