Vijay's 'The GOAT' Celebrated at Coimbatore's Archana Theatre

Fans celebrate the release of Vijay's 'The GOAT' at Archana Theatre in Coimbatore. College students take selfies with posters, while fans burst crackers to mark the occasion on September 5.

Coimbatore: Vijay's 68th film, directed by Venkat Prabhu and titled 'The Greatest of All Time' (The GOAT), hit the screens today (Sept. 5) amidst much fanfare in Coimbatore. The film, produced by AGS Entertainment with music by Yuvan Shankar Raja, features Vijay in a dual role.

The Tamil Nadu government permitted the first show of 'The GOAT' to begin at 9 AM across the state. This decision came in the wake of the 2022 incident during the release of Ajith's 'Valimai', where an early morning show led to a fan's death. Since then, no films have been allowed early morning screenings in Tamil Nadu.

At Coimbatore's Archana Theatre, the excitement was palpable as college students gathered to watch 'The GOAT'. Many were seen taking selfies in front of Vijay's posters, capturing their enthusiasm for the star's latest release. The celebration reached its peak when Vijay fans burst crackers outside the theatre, marking the film's first day first show in the city.

The movie's release has created a festive atmosphere in Coimbatore, with fans eagerly flocking to theatres to catch their favorite star on the big screen. The dual role played by Vijay in 'The GOAT' has added to the anticipation, with audiences curious to see how the actor has portrayed two distinct characters in the film.
