BJP Lodges Complaint with RDO Over Insect Infestation from Modern Rice Mill in Pollachi

Pollachi BJP members submit petition to RDO about insect infestation from Modern Rice Mill in PKS Colony, affecting residents. Complaint cites health concerns due to insects in water and food.

Coimbatore: The Pollachi unit of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has lodged a complaint with the Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) regarding an insect infestation originating from the Modern Rice Mill in PKS Colony, Ward 34 of Pollachi Municipality. Residents claim that insects from the mill are invading nearby residential areas, causing significant distress to the public.

Led by Pollachi City BJP President Paramaguru, a delegation of concerned citizens submitted a petition to the RDO detailing their grievances. The complaint alleges that the Modern Rice Mill's improper maintenance of food products has resulted in a surge of insects infiltrating the adjacent residential areas.

The petition highlights serious health concerns, stating that these insects are contaminating water supplies and food items in homes. Residents fear that this infestation could lead to potential health hazards and sanitation issues in the affected areas.

The BJP and local residents have urged the authorities to take immediate action to prevent the insects from entering residential areas. They have requested measures to ensure proper maintenance and hygiene practices at the Modern Rice Mill to address the root cause of the problem.

Local authorities are expected to investigate the matter and take necessary steps to resolve the issue, balancing the concerns of the residents with the operations of the rice mill.
