Auto Drivers Stage Protest in Tirupur, Demand Free Housing Plots and Employment Benefits

The Hindu Auto Workers' Front Union staged a demonstration in front of Tirupur Kumaran Memorial, raising demands for free housing plots, employment prioritization, and pension increases for auto drivers.



Tirupur: The Hindu Auto Workers' Front Union organized a demonstration in front of the Tirupur Kumaran Memorial to highlight their demands for better working conditions and social benefits.



The protest saw auto drivers from across Tirupur participating to voice their concerns and expectations from the government.



Key demands put forth by the union included the provision of free housing plots for auto drivers, prioritization of government jobs for first-generation graduates from auto drivers' families, and the withdrawal of online complaint registration system against auto drivers. The protesters also emphasized the need to increase the pension for auto drivers to 5,000 rupees and reduce auto FC (Fitness Certificate) charges.

V.S. Senthilkumar, the State Secretary of the Hindu Munnani, attended the demonstration and elaborated on the various demands of the auto drivers.
