Tender Coconut Prices Remain Stable in Anamalai

In Anamalai Taluk, tender coconut farm prices remain unchanged from last week. The price is set at Rs. 37 per coconut starting August 5, with low supply continuing.

Coimbatore: The tender coconut market in Anamalai Taluk continues to maintain stable prices, with no changes observed from the previous week. This price consistency comes amid an ongoing low supply of tender coconuts in the region.

According to the latest market update, the price for both short and tall hybrid variety tender coconuts has been fixed at Rs. 37 per piece. This pricing remains effective from today (August 5), mirroring the rates from the previous week.

The unchanged prices reflect the continued scarcity in the supply of tender coconuts. Despite the steady rates, farmers and traders are closely monitoring the market dynamics, given the persistent low availability of the product.

In addition to the per-piece rate, the wholesale price for tender coconuts has been set at Rs. 14,750 per ton. This bulk pricing provides a reference point for larger transactions and gives an indication of the overall market trend.

The stability in prices comes as a relief to both consumers and vendors in the Anamalai area, providing a sense of predictability in the local tender coconut market. However, industry observers note that any significant changes in supply in the coming weeks could potentially impact these prices.
