District Collector and Corporation Commissioner Inspect Road Restoration Works in Coimbatore

Coimbatore District Collector and Corporation Commissioner conducted a night inspection of road restoration works on Coimbatore-Trichy Road, Singanallur area on July 23, 2024, following the completion of various infrastructure projects.


Coimbatore: In a late-night inspection on July 23, 2024, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati IAS and Corporation Commissioner M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS visited the Singanallur area on Coimbatore-Trichy Road to assess the progress of road restoration works.

The officials examined the areas where road reconstruction was underway following the completion of various infrastructure projects. These projects included the 24x7 drinking water scheme, underground sewage system, and pipeline laying works by the Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL).



During the inspection, the Collector and Commissioner instructed the concerned officials to expedite the road restoration works to minimize inconvenience to the public. They emphasized the importance of quality in the restoration process to ensure durable and smooth roads for commuters.

The inspection team also included Chief Engineer Anbazhagan, Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy, Executive Engineer Karuppusamy, Highways Department Assistant Executive Engineer Muralikumar, and other relevant Corporation officials. Their presence ensured a comprehensive review of the ongoing works and facilitated immediate decision-making regarding the restoration process.

This surprise night inspection demonstrates the administration's commitment to monitoring infrastructure development projects closely and ensuring their timely completion for the benefit of Coimbatore's residents.
