Medical Camp for Journalists Held in Coimbatore

A medical camp for journalists and their families was organized by Coimbatore Press Club and Hindustan Hospital on July 20 in Coimbatore. District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati inaugurated the event.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Press Club, in collaboration with Hindustan Hospital, organized a medical camp for journalists and their family members on Thursday, July 20. The event took place at the hospital premises located in the New India area of Coimbatore.



District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati inaugurated the medical camp and interacted with the doctors to learn about the various medical examinations being conducted for the journalists. He took keen interest in understanding the health screening process and its importance for media professionals.

The event was presided over by Dr. Senthil Kumar, Medical Director of Hindustan Hospital, and Dr. Satish Prabhu, Administrative Director. A team of doctors and nurses were actively involved in conducting the health check-ups for the attendees.

The medical camp saw participation from over 100 individuals, including journalists working in the Coimbatore district and their family members. The initiative aimed to promote health awareness and provide necessary medical screenings for the media fraternity.

This collaborative effort between the Coimbatore Press Club and Hindustan Hospital underscores the importance of regular health check-ups for journalists, who often work under stressful conditions. The event not only provided valuable health services but also strengthened the bond between the medical community and the press in Coimbatore.
