Young Woman Files Complaint with Collector Against Ex-Lover for Deception and Threats in Coimbatore

A 23-year-old woman from Selvapuram, Coimbatore, filed a complaint with the District Collector against her ex-boyfriend for deceiving her with false promises of marriage and threatening her family after a six-year relationship.

Coimbatore: A 23-year-old woman named Sneha from Selvapuram, Coimbatore, has filed a complaint with the District Collector against her former boyfriend, Vignesh, alleging deception and threats after a six-year relationship.

Sneha stated that Vignesh had promised to marry her and had been intimate with her multiple times in private. However, he later refused to follow through with the marriage, leaving her feeling betrayed.

The complainant revealed that she had previously approached the Potthanur Women's Police Station and the Coimbatore City Police Commissioner's office with her grievances. However, no action was taken, prompting her to submit a petition to the District Collector on July 16.

According to Sneha, Vignesh has been threatening to kill her and her family if she pursues the complaint. She also alleged that the police are refusing to accept her complaint because Vignesh is affiliated with the DMK party.

In a shocking revelation, Sneha disclosed that she had become pregnant during their relationship. She claimed that Vignesh's parents had convinced her to terminate the pregnancy, promising that they would arrange the marriage afterward. However, after the termination, they refused to proceed with the wedding.

Sneha further alleged that Vignesh has since married another woman but continues to harass her for physical relationships. She stated that he threatens to release their intimate photos and videos on social media if she doesn't comply with his demands.

The distressed woman has appealed for appropriate action to be taken against Vignesh, not only for deceiving her but also for issuing death threats to her family.
